Landing Page vs Website: Which Does Your Business Need?

By Adam · Landing Page Design · 4 min read

"Do I need a website or a landing page?" It's one of the most common questions I get from Dubai business owners. The answer depends on one thing: what you want the visitor to do.

What a landing page is for

A landing page has one job: get the visitor to take a single action — usually enquire, book or buy. No menus, no distractions, no ten different links. Just a clear message and one call to action. That focus is exactly why landing pages convert far better for ad traffic.

What a website is for

A full website is for people who want to explore — browse your services, read about you, check multiple pages. It's great for credibility and for organic search, but it gives visitors lots of ways to wander off instead of taking action.

The simple rule

Running ads? Send the clicks to a landing page. Want an online presence people can explore and find on Google? Build a website. Most growing businesses eventually want both.

Why sending ads to your homepage loses money

This is the biggest mistake I see. You pay for a click, the visitor lands on a busy homepage, gets distracted, and leaves. A dedicated landing page that matches your ad keeps their attention on one action — and turns far more of your ad spend into enquiries.

Not sure which you need?

If you're advertising, start with a landing page — it's faster, cheaper and more focused. You can always add a full site later. Tell me your goal and I'll point you the right way.
